Applicants must be available to be in Dallas for full-time training from Nov 6, 2017 to Nov 27, 2017 for the November 2017 class and Jan 16, 2018 to Feb 8, 2018 for the January 2018 class. FitOps will cover all expenses in getting to, while attending, and the journey back home from camp.

  • August 11, 2017: Application cutoff to be considered for the Nov 6 class
  • August, 2017: Interviews (in-person in regional locations or Skype/FaceTime)
  • Sep-Nov, 2017: Online independent study for those accepted
  • Nov 6, 2017: Class start near Dallas (all travel, room and board paid by FitOps Foundation)
  • Nov 27, 2017: Class end and return home
  • Jan 16, 2018: Class start near Dallas (all travel, room and board paid by FitOps Foundation)
  • Feb 8, 2018: Class end and return home


FitOps is taught entirely by volunteer instructors who are all experts in their respective fields: sports medicine, wellness coaching, exercise physiology, nutrition, longevity and vitality, kinesiology, and personal training. Together the deliver this curriculum to help our veterans become not just certified but qualified as elite professionals in the fitness industry.

NOTE: FitOps should be treated like a deployment. All participants will live 24/7 onsite at the facility. There is a strict no cell phone policy during the hours of the program (6 AM to 8:30 PM). There is no wifi access at the facility.

No one can pay to get our certification. Ever. In order to be accepted into the FitOps program you have to apply, interview and be accepted. And because of that, we are training some of the best personal trainers in the industry.

FitOps' personal training certification is the industry’s first comprehensive training system based on scientific, evidence-based research. Classroom time is integrated with hands-on learning, mearning that our veterans graduate as fitness professionals who are not just CERTIFIED but QUALIFIED to train clients right away. Leveraging the academic prowess of Carnegie-Mellon University's world class instructors, all of our veterans receive the highest caliber training on basic sciences essential for personal training. That knowledge--along with physical training in the military and each person's passion for fitness--form the foundation for the rest of the program.
